The Nissan Silvia Turbo R-X.G is the flagship luxury specification S12, loaded with features and technology not found on any other model in the S12 lineup. The R-X.G was available as a Coupe or Hatchback model shape and was equipped with the single cam CA18ET engine, ensuring the model didn't step on the toes of Nissan's flagship performance model, the Turbo RS-X. Nissan was proud of all the electronic additions to the R-X.G's luxury specification, proudly claiming a coupe of world firsts with their technology. The fitting of an electronic sunroof with tilt and retract was a first for such technology fitted to a production car in Japan. Retractable headlights fitted with a washer & wiper combination and an electric multi-adjustable seat were claimed to be world firsts!

1. New super sound system.
   I addition to a diversity receiving system, electronic tuner, cassette deck, and four rear two-way speakers, it also features the world's first power woofer that utilizes a pole on the rear parcel shelf, allowing you to enjoy dynamic sound.
   
   
2. Electric sunroof with tilt-up mechanism.
   An electrically operated sliding glass sunroof. It has a tilt-up function for quick ventilation, this combination is the first in Japan for the already popular glass sunroof. The feeling of freshness when fully open is exceptional. Of course, it also comes with a sunshade to prevent glare (Coupe).
   
   
3. Aerodynamic body.
   Fully retractable headlights that cut through the airflow, full wheel covers and aluminum road wheels with excellent aerodynamic properties, and the body's thorough use of flush surface, including full doors, achieves an air-resistance coefficient of 0.36 (Coupe) and 0.34 (Hatchback).
   
   
4. Fully retractable headlamps with wipers.
   To maintain its stylish form, the headlights are usually stored inside the hood. They only rise up and light up when necessary. They also come with wipers, this combination is a world first.
   
   
5. Electronic meter.
   The electronic cockpit is equipped with not only a speedometer and tachometer, but also an oil pressure gauge, a voltage gauge, a boost gauge, a drive guide, and more. This is the extent to which the Silvia has become so electronic.
   
   
6. Tilt steering with memory.
   In addition to the normal tilt mechanism, a lifting function has been added to make it easier for the driver to get in and out. When lowered, the memory returns to the original set position. This means there is no need to adjust the tilt after getting in and out.
   
   
7. Keyless entry system.
   This advanced equipment uses a microcomputer to lock and unlock the door, lower the door glass, and unlock the trunk from outside the vehicle without a key. All you need to do is enter a pre-entered code and press a button, so there's no need to worry about theft.
   
   
8. Multi-adjustable seat.
   This multi-seat has eight functions. Of these, the lumbar support, side support, and thigh support are electronically air-operated. It also features an electrically operated lifter. This allows you to find the ideal driving position while providing tight support for your body.
   
   
9. New 4-wheel independent suspension.
   The new suspension further refines Nissan's four-wheel drive system, which has been thoroughly honed through racing and rallies. Matched with the 60 tyres, the car's running performance has been further enhanced.
   
   
10. Drive guide.
    The new system features a control panel set in the cockpit that provides a guide function that tells the direction and distance to the destination, as well as a compass function that tells the direction when you want to drive in a certain direction.

The heart of the new Silvia is an electronic digital meter. The speedometer is in the center, with the water temperature gauge, oil pressure gauge, fuel gauge, and voltmeter on either side, and a tachometer with LEDs on the bottom. A boost gauge and drive guide are newly adopted.

The instrument panel is densely packed for easy viewing. Moreover, the layout is easy to see, and the green night lighting prevents the driver from feeling fatigued. There are also plenty of monitors and warning lights. You can accurately judge the condition of your car, which is a great relief.
