Gazute Exposed (19-04-11 Pics)

So I've had a little time to work on the Gazute recently...

The Engine has now got 550cc injectors in the rail, just gotta (re) bolt it in. I didnt get the nylon spacers to go under the rail when i got it. So now i have to slide those under and then bolt her down again. While i was getting stuff from the states, i also invested in a 044 to supply fuel.

The Aux (pwr steering/ alternator and pulleys) I picked up last night, just gotta get me a starter motor (same as a VQ30 Maxima) and a AFM... to then see if she can crank.

Will probably go down the same track as most and get a Z32 one, despite the R33/34 being standard, the extra tunability will be good.

There is a Nismo 350Z flywheel on its way from Japan... to then assist in the whole connecting to the 350Z 6MT.

So it's all good on the building up front... just not looking like much from everyone else's point of view... $$ unfortunatly are tight and will not be freed up until Gabby is sold... :(

So, in light of F&TF5...

Overnight (+ 2 days) Parts from Japan!

This has the Z33 (VQ35de) starter motor ring gear and timing ring... which is useless to me...

BUT...

That is held on to the useful bit with the same 4 bolt pattern (yet to be proven to myself, but is quite reliable hearsay) used for the flex plate on my (auto only) Y33 VQ30det

So undo 4 bolts, and then do up 4 bolts... then you have a flywheel which will mate a VQ30det perfectly to a VQ35de 6 speed manual with HEAPS of clutch options and will allow the use of the stock management system without fault codes! :D

Engine's starting to look like an engine again :D All the manifolds are now on, but i'll whip off the exhaust pipes to replace the studs before I torque them up.
Backyard has been consuming a lot of my time, but at least I'll have a beer garden for summer!
