SR22 Hatch - All black, everything

Well disaster has struck in the form of a bent rod, so anybody who has followed my hatch project over the years would know its a white 84 live axle w/ redtop sr20det. Done about 20,000k's since the swap 2 years ago and DD'd it up until I picked up a bit of water into #4 cyl.

Long story short I'm starting again on the whiteboard, here is the plan

***Body***

Matte black respray, straightened panels and the guards will be rolled

***Wheels/tyres***

Whatever I can fit under the pumped guards, probably some s13 16 or 17" with at least 235 or 245 on the rear.

***Suspension***

s13 coilovers, BC S12 Kit
r31 adjustable caster arms and new bushings
s13 LCA
s13/r32 rack ends
s13/r32 tie rods
s13 swaybar

(all this is long overdue)

***Motor***

Crack tested
Bored
Decked
-Nitto 2.2 Stroker kit-
Nitto 4340 Crank
Nitto 4340 H-beam rods
Nitto/JE 87mm pistons
ARP Head and bottom end studs and bolts
Cometic gasket kit (MLS)
Cams - !!!!UNDECIDED SO I NEED SOME INPUT!!!
Cam gears
Rocker stopper kit
New timing chain
New oil pump
Tomei ARMS turbo, unsure of size or trim yet..... would like some input
Decent injectors, I'm open to suggestions
044 + surge tank
Management, Link or Power FC mabey

Basicly it is still going to be a street car but probably just weekend and track duties, still want to run pump fuel and basicly want a genuine 400-500rwhp menacing night time weapon.

sorry to hear it let go, but i'm pretty excited to see how this works out! A friend of mine is currently putting the finishing touches on an SR24 S14 which has got me dreaming about a stroker. Good luck!

They are a drop in right? I have read a little about them but cant remember the specifics. If they make a set that are on the wild end of streetable that'd be what I want

If I had it my way this wouldnt have been how the motor got rebuilt, its a bit forced but you gotta turn something really bad and shitty into something good and awesome

SR24 I'm very interested in, is this a custom setup? I havent seen any off the shelf stroker kits bigger than 2.2L

Yeah I had this gut feeling before we pulled the motor down that I had definitly bent a rod bad, there is actually a small crack in the piston too!

if you bend all the rods at the same angle, all you have to do is get a new set of pistons, and you will have automaticly gained a few cc in capacity.

Ive seen pics of an SR22, and they basically machined the bores well into the water jackets, sleeve them, and then machine to the desired CC. i assume this would be the case for the SR24 as well. they dont leave much room for error though.

The nitto kit seems to pick up the displacement via more stroke, the pistons are only 87mm, so .5mm extra radius over standard pistons is nothing. I dont really want to go bigger because its going to make the block weaker with less meat between each cylinder. Apparently the nitto kit says it will be good for 10,000rpm........... now that I'd like to see

i agree with that 10,000rpm provided it will spin that fast i dont doubt it will this is gonna be amazing!

@4got10- man i didnt know there were sr24 kits thats something new to me. wowzaaaz im way behind lol.
