<3 thanks guys! a build is never complete! (contrary to my title)
wooooooo
Yeah, I seriously documented the opening of these things. I think it's one of the coolest purchases I've ever made, like I'm all grown up now or something. Shipped from Japan in less than a week!
xr4 is 15x9-27
mk3 is around 15x9-17
both around ~5in of lip
I'll probably get tires on the longchamps at least this weekend, maybe. 195/50's and I'll have to pull the rears about 1cm. Should be cool!

How ironic that you joined aus12 to post your car considering it was one of the main inspirations for mine
I have a whole set of your pics I saved forever ago because it was literally the cleanest best looking S12 I had ever seen, shame the american 200sx and gs-x gear is so hard to get in australia

Yup, I'll be repolishing them.Grubby wrote:How ironic that you joined aus12 to post your car considering it was one of the main inspirations for mineI have a whole set of your pics I saved forever ago because it was literally the cleanest best looking S12 I had ever seen, shame the american 200sx and gs-x gear is so hard to get in australia
And thanks man! I'm glad I could do something like that for anyone.
As for the wheels, I think I bit off a little more than I could chew with these offsets, haha. I'm trying hard though to make it work
Ended up using the 205/50 from my equips, pulled the fenders enough that the vertical lip is lined up with the little flare
it'll do for now, I'll go 195/50 all around in the near future.
more pics later, still working on these fenders

I went the opposite way to you choosing power first over suspension and looks (although my old ca blowing up didnt give me much of a choice
)
I just wish I could get my hands on one of those front lips, side skirts and 200sx hatch spoiler, makes the car look so much better, keep up the great work

Haha, same thing happened to me, man! My ca18et went out and that started my build, I pulled the motor and started all the suspension first and put the motor in last. Given, I had a reliable daily driver at the time so getting the s12 running wasn't too much a priority.
I used a claybar for the first time, 21 years into my life, I've realized the magical properties of this miracle clay. The paint before was pretty awesome for 25 years, but after claying, it felt brand new!

Yeah, the front camber could use some adjustment. I'll be getting s14 arms shortly for more adjustment. we also made new heartbreaker stickers for the hellaflush meet and some hellagay! stickers, haha
