Here's a few prelim pics of the front bar dev work:

Sorry about the crappy quality but the phone camera hates fluro light. The white line is where I have to cut it to clear the rio so the top will pretty much be stock S12. I'm also getting rid of the bottom ducts as I don't think it suits the S12 with so many holes. Other than that I'll be adding some exit vents on the sides to draw air though the oil cooler.

Nice! I like that. Are you also smoothing over the S13 groove in the sides?
Also, what head gasket are you using now?
Also, also, your trim piece is going on the truck tomorrow (19/12/07).

Yes, there have been some mixed opinions of Ken Streeter, but anyways...

He knows he's in the sheet & is slowly making amends.
Still no progress on the kit as I have family visiting unexpectedly. Jan/Feb I'll be making a lot of effort on the kit, panels and paint.

Update time: Thought I'd dig this thread out of the pit.
Been to the track again and the times have dropped by 1.5 secs with the brakes & steering sorted. Rear end id the main focus now as the thing dives like a dolphin into every corner and having the bum waving around isn't helping. So we'll up the front ride height and stiffen the spring rate. The thing desperately needs it's rally tarmac tyres as we're overpowering the tyres at every corner either with brakes or the right boot. I guess 7 year old Bridgestones just don't cut it.
Next fix will be all new wheel/diff bearings, front ball joints and hopefully get the FJ gearbox in as they're all making bad noises. I'm also buying the patents Magna so the S12 can become a bit more of a garage/trailer queen, then I can up the revs/boost and see just how hard a CA big block can really go. We buzzed 7000rpm and 1.04bar boost at the track and it still purred like a kitten. Oil temp is reaching 95°C but water sits on 85°C all day with the fans on, so the oil cooler might find it's way in front of the IC temporarily (it'll end up on the drivers side of the new glass bar....when I get it done).

I managed to prize some video from the camera and get it onto the Tube. Unfortunatly we ran out of tape to get the fastest run of the day, but these will give you some idea of what the Big Block is like to pilot.
