ok, so im back from being on hiatus, i just got married so i have had a break, lets get to updates

Replaced the REAR SUBFRAME Bushes, got my interior door card trims retrimmed too.

i got a hold of these:

they just need fitting.

also brought these:

managed to get my hands on this! which for some might not be a big deal. but for me i was pretty excited

im about to start the s13 front conversion with the BC coilovers, i chose a 6kg front and a 4kg rear as i really dont want to ruin this cars drivability. if anyone has any opinions about them i'd like to hear them. i think 8/6 are too harsh. and i would only think of tracking the car once or twice a year.

Today i thought i'd best restore the rear tail lights of the mk 2, which i polish tool, some cutting compound and plastix. we got this :

had only gotten the right side done in this photo, will post more detailed photos later

Congratulations on the marriage mate!

Good to see some progress on the car also. Door trims look good, I need to get the same thing done on mine.

I love the dash mat, nice find.

Cool build man. I drive with 8 & 6 BC's and find them good, a little rough on shit roads but not to bad. Yours should be very comfy!

hey everyone, finally got around to getting these updates sorted!

first off, i put the s12 in the garage on jack stands, and the following works were done:

i got my rear boot struts regassed.

i have been trying to get these stickers remade, but havent had a chance to find someone to do them, if anyone on this site has a connection or can do it, please pm me:

brought this a while back, a VERY RARE, and old school period correct Nismo steering wheel. yet to be installed on the car however,

coilovers had come in, but before the s13 front suss installation, i decided to re-sound proof my wheel archs from the fronts, looking like this:

found myself finding more little surface rust areas as i went along, so had to treat them and then spray over, before i knew it, i had taken the cars front end off all again and treating all the areas for rust. just sit back and enjoy the photos:

under the radiator support, and inside the chassis front rails.

removed the radiator and shroud, air con, painted the front area (these were all done temporarily before i get the car professionally sprayed at a later stage)

did underneath, where the s13 suspension arms were to bolt up,

and then when i thought everything was all sorted, i spotted a nasty bit of rust in the battery tray which had to be treated, with the help of some mates, we got into it, drilled the old spot weld parts, removed the battery tray, cut out the rust spot and then rewelded sheet metal in, and rewelded the battery tray, and sprayed with some zinc to stop further rust, enjoy photos.

battery tray removed, rusted area seen.

new bottom section made for battery tray, as last one was rusted completely.

finished product, with a coat of zinc spray allowing us to still MIG weld through and keep the metal from rusting again.

this was what i finally finished, before starting the s13 front suss and coilovers. for myself rust is new to me and this took alot longer than i wanted, next update just as big but with alot more progress, peace out !

im hoping to get this car up and rego'd for the japan day, wish me luck boys

hello Everyone,

so its been a crazy couple of months, where to start.. i think i'll let the pics speak for themselves:

i brought a gazelle with a FJ20et from a bloke who originally was from queensland, the guy was a dick about it, claimed it had a fully forged bottom end, upon inspection, it was stock, and he had cracked the pistons, how he did this on an FJ i still don't know.

i brought it whole as it had the mounts, intercooler, ECU, Tailshaft and everything i needed to fit in the s12 silvia, so i thought it was still a good buy, i took out the engine with my friend, and off it went for the s12 FJ20 silvia build.

I'm amazed at how big the con rods are stock,

meanwhile... my poor ca18et had a huge water pump leak and the timing belt snapped, which i thought was the end of the old CA,

i got the water pump replaced and timing belt put in, and magically everything was ok. nissans are awesome. i also upped the boost to 7psi, and what a difference from 5psi it is lol

brought the last known set of roof racks for the s12 in australia they won't be importing anymore kits, i'll need to space them out more, but the radio antenna needs relocation, ideas folks?

after about 2 months:

my 2.2L SPOOL Fj22 stroker kit came in, they are basically kameara rods (spool replica) CP pistons, and chomoly crankshaft, engine bearings.

the whole setup is rated to 1500 HP.

and my engine block came back from Duggins balancing, acid dipped, crack tested, the works

painted black

block was stock, so bored 20thou over

next on the list of things to do, gearbox setup, r200 long nose diff install, and respray.

fj20 still needs: exhaust manifold setup, don't know if i should go twin scroll or not, thinking of a gtx3071r .70 a/r, anyone got any ideas, leave me a comment, I'm hoping to get 290-330 kW's from this FJ22 setup.

if anyone has done the r200 long nose install and is located melbourne, give me a PM, i have a z31 long nose and drive shafts, will either put the guts of a viscous s15 diff or 1.5way r200 s13 aftermarket diff.

and as always, any feedback or ideas appreciated.

many many many months later!

i had to buy a lot of parts off stuart wilkins motorsport, new everything, mild headwork got done, i purchased a lot of luke monty's old drive train as he was going automatic. and the hardest part was trying to source a turbo oil pump from japan, which i finally got a month go.

all that is literally left is the curved chain guide, if we can obtain a new one, then i might actually have a brand new fj22 motor.

i did also manage to get a mk2 jdm rear wing, and some se side skirts. all coming along now, just awaiting the final parts.
