rego is up sep 11th (fu**ed date......) and I cant decide if I should re-register it or just plonk it in the shed for a year and go to town, do the suspension, strip it, cage it, build the motor proper and do it right.......
Or just bung it togeather and drive it around hmmmmmm decisions. What say aus12?

If you have another ride for the year I would let it go and do all mods properly, trust me you will be more satisfied with the end result knowing everything is up to spec. Just dont let it sit and waste away for more then planned.

I have too many cars yeah lol, bt50 ute will reliably get me around. Still got an an FC rx7 to do and a 1000 ute to finish too......... damn mazdas. Should have plenty of garage space to do the gaz properly though. I have this feeling that if I let the rego run out it wont ever see the road again........ I just know deep down it will end up as a full blown track car........ not that its a bad thingjimmyjams wrote: If you have another ride for the year I would let it go and do all mods properly, trust me you will be more satisfied with the end result knowing everything is up to spec. With laws getting stricter on the roads and general public disapproval of modified cars increasing.. Track cars are becoming more & more desirable. Just as long as there is a track near you, I'd say build it, cage it & track it!

yea bad date for rego to expire
The whole build it proper idea sounds the goods
as long as you dont loose motivation as quick as i do if it sits there untouched for too long

I have a quarter mile on the outskirts of town, sadly the nearest actual circut would be QR or lakeside in brisbane but thats only 8-10 hrs travel. Could make a weekend of it, mini road trip and a heap of fun thrashing it on the trackjames wrote: With laws getting stricter on the roads and general public disapproval of modified cars increasing.. I wont lie in saying it will probably get a low priority compared to my rx7 and 1000 ute, but the actual building of the SR20 for the nissan will be of high priority, cage and whatnot can come later really it would be fun just to get it running again and start slingshotting it down the quarter on weekends!
