The MKI Nissan Silvia 50th Anniversary Version is a Japanese-Market special edition released in 1984 to celebrate Nissan's 50th Anniversary. It was limited to 500 units nation-wide and was only available in the coupe body shape.

The car is based on the MKI Silvia Turbo R-X.G, the Silvia line-up's luxury specification model, however has some noticeable changes. The main difference is the new white-over-gold two-tone paint option, a paint scheme not available on any other model option. Other new additions include matching gold-painted wheels, 50th anniversary badges on the front grill and rear boot-lid, and gold-stitched and badged seats with matching interior trim. A unique 50th Anniversary Version key was also included with this special edition Silvia.

A - Optical communication non-rotating switch built-in steering wheel.
The Super Sound System switch and ASCD switch are built into the center of the steering wheel and are operated by an optical communication system. The center part does not move even when the steering wheel is operated, so it is a non-rotating type that keeps the same position.

This is a convenient mechanism in which the sensor detects changes in rainfall and automatically operates at the optimal time.
