Hey guys, I'm just trying to get a bit of info on air con systems. I have the cabin stuff still connected, have purchased modified lines that fit with an SR20 and recently found a compressor and condenser too. The compressor is for an SR20 and has the mount so that should link up ok and the condenser is an S12 one.

Problems I have are:

        - I don't know how much life the compressor has left in it.
        - The condenser is pretty old and dirty.

Firstly on the compressor... Are they hard to rebuild? Is it worthwhile? Can you buy rebuild kits?

Secondly the condenser... Can I upgrade to a more modern condenser that will be able to provide cold air despite using the less efficient R134A gas? And if so could you give me some pointers, like can I just use whatever fits and bigger is better?

Cheers.
