Yup, Silvia writing on the passenger side. Must be a Jap MKII thing, never seen it on any MKI's. It doesn't light up, would be cool if it did though. Hmmmm, maybe I can get an LED behind there or something! Got me thinking now.

For sure Luke, then she will be looking as nice as yours!

Dont' be fooled, my paint work is cactus, it's amazing what a camera can do to make your paint work look good.

Yeah, a camera can make a huge difference. It's like a picture of a model in a magazine after she's been airbrushed. You don't see all the imperfections she wakes up with or the annoying personality faults. Just like cars on the internet, they can look perfect but have a million gremlins that the owner hates lol.

Any progress is progress, Matty.

Good to hear you've got some stuff in the pipeline.

As for the 'Silvia' insignia in the dash, there may be a bulb slot in the rear of it. If you look at how a MK1 is set up, there's quite a few slots for bulbs, and a fully-optioned auto SGL or RX-G needed them!

im usually naked anywayclothes are for rich ppl

Can do cash jobs!

I can even come to you!

Good news mate.
Drop me a message or give me a call when they are sent, I will send through the coin I owe you.

Cheers again.

Yeah, it's getting there, slowly but surely.

The Silvia writing is on the far left though, whereas the lights are usually on the right. Might be able to adapt something to fit, it would be awesome.

Action is happening......... slowly.

So now on to the topic of strut braces. It seems factory CA18DET S12's are quite hard to fit a brace to due to the overhead intake plenum setup. It's huge! I tried a custom modified brace that Wil had lying around, it fouled on the plenum. I tried an S13 Cusco strut brace in the same fashion Josh had used in his SR coupe, from the pictures it looked possible due to the high rise from the end plates, but again it fouled on the plenum. Months passed, I gave up trying to fit one, and then stumbled upon something special.

It arrived in the post today, bearing the following badge...

Posted Image

There it is, a real deal NISMO S12 Strut Brace...

Posted Image

As you can see the hump is quite large, designed specifically for the CA's overhead plenum...

Posted Image

And even the end plates are stamped!

I am quite excited about this part, from what I know these are extremely rare, and this is the first one I have seen. Can't wait to fit it up to the RS-X, but that's not possible at the moment, as it's off somewhere getting something done to it Posted Image

Updates to come...

I hope it will be epic. Can't wait to get it back from the painter.

By tension rods I presume you mean Castor Rods?
They are CAZMAN brand, Aussie made quality product. Can find them on eBay.
