.9-1bar dodgy bleed valve :)

When the guy was putting it on the dyno i told him i would be happy with 220hp, and he sorta laughed and was telling me that to make 300rwhp with an SR i would need sh** loads of mods. so he put the screen up to max out at 250hp and told me i would be lucky to get 200hp. hehehehe much to his suprise the gazu didnt disapoint me :)

This FJ pulled 217.6hp on 16psi
Not bad considering it's made up out of parts from other worn out FJ20's I have

I'll have to get a aftermarket ECU soon
Air Fuel ratio was a worry

Posted Image

It does make alot of smoke for 160kw
thought it had more, Guess not maybe it's how i drive?
The car is very light just under 1000kg with how striped out it is

According to the tare weight the car is 900 though right? Well thats what mine says... but with a full tank and now with the conversion etc it'd be a fiar bit more than that i'd guess.

On the weigh bridge with cass driving and me as the passenger, with a combined weight of 130kg with a full tank of fuel it weighed in at 1094kg's

It was at the local waste station (tip) so I don't know accrurate thier scales are

And that was before i stripped out behind the dash ( heater and AC units gone) I've also stripped out all excess wireing out of the car. If a wire didn't plug in i followed it back to where it came from then took out the curcuit.

SR20DET stock turbo, stock motor.
3inch exhaust
FMIC
custom 1 piece tailshaft
9inch diff
149kW@12psi
105kW@6psi
my car had to be weighed for rego and
it was 1190kg.

I pretty much have the same set up as you but no 1 piece tail shaft and no 9inch diff

i got 145RWKW @ 7PSI?

thats weird indeed!

Difrent dynos, difrent readings... but that is quite a bit difrent...
Especially the 105rwkw on stok boost ?!?! I am pretty sure around the 110-115 is wat they shud make stok.

I am dynoing my S14 tomorrow, stok as a rock can get, so i will post up figuers then.

Not saying anybody is more correct than the other, because dynos definately
vary. According to my ZOOM mag issue no 67 there is an S13 SR20 tuner guide.
It says in stock form it makes 153kW@6000rpm (flywheel)
And on a dyno dynamics approx 105kW @ wheels on 0.5 bar

Later on it says with 3inch exhaust air filter split dump of the turbo power
should rise to 140kW on 0.8 bar
add FMIC and 1.2bar and you should see 150kW.
to go above 160kW it says the fuel pump and injectors will need
replacing as they are at their upper limits.

Na im right with you on that man.

Thats a redtop also yea?
Well i plan on proving that article wrong, you dont need a fuel pump and injectors to pull over 160rwkw...
Give it a few weeks and ill have exhaust etc done and i will get it dynoed agen.

Will post up stok dyno reading this arvo :orly:

with all the SR powered cars ive seen dynoed they all make around 145-150rwkw on 1bar, with the same mods as you listed.

they dont say that you need to change the injectors, they reccomend it because your injectors will be running at almost full cycle trying to feed 160KW!

so its a failsafe device not a you need to change for you to get anything orver 160

Well got back from the Dyno just now..
quite suprised with the figures.....

Ok the blue is with Pod K&N Filter and 11psi boost, otherwise STOCK exhaust etcetc---- 141rwkw
The Red is Pod filter on STOCK BOOST, again, no other mods---- 129.5rwkw

The engine is a Blacktop VVTI SR20DET.

I didnt mean for it to sound like its impossible to make 160kW without them.
You are correct its a failsafe device. NOT A MUST
But i know i will want reliability if i go chasing more power so i will be doing the pump and the injectors
and a turbo to get there.
