OK well I've just bought my 2nd s12 & put in new fuel tank & fitted r31 front brakes & replaced bent control arm. Then went on to the electrical side. I put new battery in fixed everything else turned the key & it started, "wow" but nothing electrical works (lights, windows, dash, clock, warning lights, interior lights, lighter, antenna, radio or the fan) until I rev it! Then everything works. As soon as I turn off the motor & turn on acc nothing works (lights, windows, dash, ext), I need to start the car & rev it to close windows & have to re tune the radio every time. WHATS WRONG with my car? & How do I fix it?

what does the dash's voltage say when it's off and running? should be 12V and 14.4V respectively.

Check the plug on the back of the altinator is plugged in properly
when you turn your ignition on, the battery symbol should be lit up and go out when engine is running.
sounds like your reving it to exite the altinator into chargeing
