I asked UpullIt Lonsdale about buying the bright green shell.
Cost $330

I also emailed them pics of my ruined gazelle to sell to them and they offered me $250 for it.
No way in hell!

A wreakers offered $250 ay, they must have been feeling generous!
It's a pretty good offer for a wreakers.

$250 is a joke, the whole car is in tact except for a bent chassis rail, windshield, and firewall.
The rest if the car is perfectly fine.

It's a wreakers.
Getting $250 for it complete private sale is a dream, a wreakers will be lower than that for sure.

i would have expected the wreckers to give you $200 max
so $250 is not to be sneezed at
sure you can make more parting it out, if you can be bothered.. that's the big catch

$330 for that shell is reasonable. if you tried to buy just 2 doors and 2 front panels they'd likely ask almost that much (or more)
wreckers have to make a profit to survive :)

if anyone goes down there in next few days or whatever can you check if there is any hatches with the whole interior in them. if there is can you find out a price they want for it all and let me know on 0406 194 010.

or if someone can call them up or something? even if their is a couple of small bits and pieces missing as long as the major stuff is there eg. dash, carpet, seats, centre console, boot linings, door cards. As long as that major stuff is all there and can find all the little bits and bobs later.

But yeah if someone can do that for me would be an awesome help.

Cheers Kieran

I was there a couple of days ago, and they have taken the hatches away, there are only 2x coupe's there now.
The interiors of the coupe's have been raped multiple times, not in the best condition.

^^strip off the parkers, tail lights, maybe front bar, driver's seat if it's good, vents and IRS cradle, then sell it to the rip-off merchants. you'll get $50-100 less, but each of those parts i listed will fetch you $50 or more each.

Has anyone actually tried selling anything to them of late....

Their prices are sh**. they use the scrap metal rate as a comparison to the price they give you. and to anyone checking the scrap metal price currently, its shite.
