A good day once again.
Bad luck with the car Matt, hopefully you can sort something out to keep the S12 going.

Nice pics there!

Cheers matty.
I have a second bottom end in the shed. So i will probably get that forged. Then start on some serious head work as well.
This will come in time. The need for my S13 to be ready out weighs this at the present moment.

But the s12 will come back... eventually.

Matt

The red one is Mattys old car.

Not too sure of the owners name of if he is on here.

My rebuild has started. I WILL be drifting next event in the gazelle.

Yep tis my old Gazelle.
I spoke to the guy at the last drift practice for a little while, and told him about AUS12, so I don't think he is on here at the moment.
And found another pic:

Good to hear the Gazelle will be back out again at the next drift meet Matt, will be good to see on track again. Good luck with it!

Matty.

Guess you'll still be after a bash plate suraido! What happened to your CA anyway?

Basically my blow off came off. Made the car a pig to get back to pits of course. But luckily it happened as i was throwing a lot of oil out. Turns out 1. The half moon seal at the back of the head is shagged (Along with the rear main)
2. a coolant line under the plennum was split and
3. i had a little too much blow by for my liking

So i decided to shut her down and throw it back on the trailer. Rather that than starve the engine of oil, or throw oil on the track.

So basically its not completely shagged, but i think its time to get serious with it. Forged pistons are coming as are forged h beam rods. Cams, Cam Gears, possibly solid valve conversion, ported head, acl race bearings, lewis engines drift 7 litre sump are also on the shopping list.

And i will be needing a bash plate. Will it fit around the larger drift 7 litre CA sumps?
Should make it so its a bit happier running 20 pound.

Its what i want to see as well! otherwise my shed has 2 not running drift cars.

Might have a slide with the 13.5 if the gazelle is not ready in time for next event.

Your mate looked like he was tearing it up in the S14.

At least he got use of my entry because i sure as hell wasnt going to get a chance

Glad you didnt do too much damage, will have yourself a nice list of bills by the end of that build!

The bash plate will fit provided the 7L sump doesnt go lower than the standard sump, I assume it just has wings so you should be right.

Ill double check the sump when i pick it up.

Yeah the list of bills should add up to around the 4-5g mark for the build. 6-7 if i do a few other things i was thinking of. Bulletproof motor after that though..
