cause the way donkey described, youd have to hold it down, to get them up top... (it wont be absolute top as the motors keep going the one way...) so youd always have to try and align it as CLOSE as possible... and may get frustrating

with my setup if you hold the switch down the lights will stop at the top
and only go down if you push the switch the other way
so theres no aligning needed

if you light s are un aligned it means one of your motors is slower then the other one. i have this same problem, hence why i dont use my sleepy eyes.

u cud try a set of motors from a 180, but ud be better off making sure there from the same car so u dont the same problem.

one of mine is slightly slower but that just seems to make up for the fact one of my lights seems to be outta place ..

one of my lights doesnt seem to go as high as the other and then wen you tell them to go down it has to go up for a bit then down is that normal?

It's out of time.

I can't remember off the top of my head how to fix it. It's fairly simple, though.

So today I was thinking that because I dont retract the lights by the motors anyway, would it be possible to simply remove the motors and all the relays and crap to save weight while retaining headlight use?

Was also thinking about doing away with headlights alltogether and using driving lamps that are on special at supercheap auto, and wiring them up to a hard switch on their own loom into the cabin

another option i was thinking of was shortening the arms so that and moving the motors up that amount... would then only have up normal and down as sleepy :D

ive had that problem b4
the motor arm was to low
i just loosened the nut on the motor lifted the headlight to its right height and tightened the nut again
that fixed it

I converted an SGL dimmer switch into the headlights-up switch tonight, after some indirect nagging from Lizzie.

I'll let ya's know how I go tomorrow.

I'm gonna start converting them before I send them out now. Some people are having trouble working it all out.

$5 into my account/money order will have a converted switch sent to you.

]This is a totally different way then i did on mine. i took out the switch in side the car (the one that allows the headlights to go up and down) and just cut off the brown wire behind the switch. tape up both sides, and ur done! dont even have to get ur hands dirty!Posted Image
