The only public transport that I know of from the Airport is the shuttle bus. It will take you to Southern Cross station. You can then catch a cranbourne/pakenham line train to Dandenong. You should be pretty close to the place by then.

Hey guys,

For sure we'll catch up for a beer! Sorry only just caught onto the thread. Car's not 100% healthy atm after sandown last weekend, but still drivable... ish.

Anywho... sounds like Davis is goin to look after you for a lift. How long are you planning on hanging around for?

As i work full time, miles away from any logical place to catch up, i'll need as much notice as possible. I start early so meeting up round 5:30 onwards most days is possible.

we are only planning on being there for one day arrive in the morning by plane get a lift to the compliance place and then waste the day making our way to the boat port drop the car on the boat and then go to the airport at whatever time so there should be sum time after 530 for a bit of a gathering with drinks lol

My falcon is good at getting places, and has a tow hitch rated at 2 tonne!! (used to be for towing horse floats) Also, as gadget will attest to, i keep a good beer supply... aswell as spirits...

When you work out the weekend, start a thread in "vic events" and then put a link in here to it.

After the chanel 7 news the other day, i wouldnt recomend a Holden Commadore with P plates as transport... most confiscated car under anti-hoon laws...

yeah i should be available for a casual meet up...

car scene is reasonably dead in melbourne these days as far as i am concerned - it may just be that i dont go to the right places...
chappel st used to be the place to go to see fully sick vl's and rice mobiles do 0-20kmh tests, but that has died down since the cops have beeen doing blitzes. I was there a couple of weeks ago and it looks like traffic actually flows again (used to take about 30min to drive 1km) although there is still the odd wanker pulling laps..

st kilda marina was the place to go about 5 years ago but i think that is absolutely dead these days there are always a few cars cruising up and down princes hwy but the hoon laws have scared alot of people off..

There's not a "common" place to go anymore, only organised meets that you can hear about or tag along onto if lucky enough to stumble accross one. The cops dont like us having a regular common meeting place/s.

i did get the impression that the cops had everyone scared in melbourne the imports i did see were driving like girlymen and if anything like a falcon did a squel at the lights it would then quickly dash of into a shadow to hide.

lol really. thats bad. my brother has a 180sx wit a rb20det in it. he was driving normally in the outta saburbs of sydney wit his ex misses and her dad when he was going a corner at 60 the speed limit and slid out and smashed into a gutter and he was left on the grass with a broken rim and sh**. police came and gave him a fine for hooning all because someone heard a little screech then bang. my bro and the girls dad tried to explain what happened but the cop didnt give a sh** and still gave him the fine. i dont no about anyone out there but thats bs and unfair.
