Autosalon is coming to town on the 11th and 12th of August

they have a new section this year for "old school" which for those who dont read ASM, means anything made prior to 1986, whcih means most of our cars

now, because there is an old school club award, i was thinking that we should enter with a few cars, and see how we go!

would also be a great way of getting AUS12 out there to everyone!

I would prefer that there only be S12's at this stage as it would be weird to have a kombi or other in an AUS12 display

to be able to enter as a club, we need at least 6 cars. i believe it costs $70/car and extra for those that require power for lighting etc.

would anyone be interested?

i may or may not be entering depending on the progress of my car!

please register your interest so we can decide if it can be a goer or not!

Cheers everyone!

i just know that its in its own category, so its a judging system comparing cars made prior to 1986 against each other, i dont think they are judged against other categories unless you have a super show stopper (read king of autosalon contender)

awards include:
best interior
best engineered
Best restored
best paint
best undercarriage
Best engine bay
best club
best piston engine
best japanese oldschool
best european oldschool
rotory champion
and old school champion

i guess it is a way of bringing the crowds back to the autosalon show series, as every year it is the same cars, same people, and i guess it is beginning to wear abit thin with orginisers and show goers.

there is also always a lack of rotors at autosalon every year, so this may make it more exciting

LOL @ todd, yeah, it is just an EOI atm, theres no basis to jump into the deep end as of yet, just like to see what the interest is.

may even wait til next year so we can scope out the competition and see what we can do to make it super wicked!

only progress is that it has gained another inch worth of dust, and it probably has more bodykit parts sitting on it

i am unsure as to where paint is atm, i am tempted to look through new car yards to see what tickles my fancy!

this waiting thing is getting boring!, i have lots to do and its nearing the end of June!
