Hello Fellas!
I cant go turbo due to weight engineering rules so thats out.
I dont want an SR20VE its too big to fit compared to CA.
Im looking at building a ca20de and the idea is to make the
rod stroke ratio decent for good rev potential, so will need a
ca20 block, prepped 4g63 conrods, Honda F20b 85mm pistons
solid lifters from toyota 1zzfe with shims, good local sourced
dual springs and retainers all totalling 1997cc.

I have so far:
4 port head machined for 3mm larger exhaust valves
88mm full counterweight Tomei style diesel crank
2 x twin 48mm webers opened up from 45mm
71c D21 stumpy box with 180sx gearset
H190 Alloy carrier & bargain lsd from wrecker 720 ute

The idea is to keep the rod stroke ratio decent
My problem might be the oil pump? yet maybe not as the diesel 88mm
full Counter weight crank has the same bearings as the Ca18de/t snout etc.
Would love to use the ca18de/t oil pump if possible or needed.

Other issue is longer belt, as I cant find the info pioneered by Candellan
last issue is tapping Belt tensioner for twin cam head & extending front cover.

The car is a datto one thousand tudor that Ive got the weight down to 596kg
no bumpers, tar and other bits. Added weight over original mechanicals 55-60kg.

Queries:
1. could my stroker 88mm crank be made to use a ca18de oil pump?
2. any idea on the longer belt part no. or solution Candellan had?
3. any pics or idea of tapping position for new belt tensioner position?

WOOOOOAAAAAHHHHH!!!! This is gonna be an epic build! 596kg and you'd be expecting what about 140kw? That's gonna be insane! And have throttle response tighter than a nuns nurries!
Very cool, please upload as may pics as possible! Are you on Datsun1200.com too?

Query no 2. almost found to be a Daihatsu Charade GTi belt so would mean HD series 1.6 engine
Query no 3. is solved found it on another forum on a Belgium build.

Ta TDM the car was almost impounded when driven with non-engineered NA 13B, very loud & viciously violent.
Since then I looked for alternatives I could engineer & went back to the CA for its Nissaness & now budget parts.
FCW crank should help with harmonics allowing me to avoid using the ladder brace or mains girdle and sit the
engine lower down to clear the extra 19-20mm extra ca20 height.

I also will have to enlarge the head studs to suit shortened vg20de head studs?

Got lucky at Andys wreckers a while back with a diesel 720 ute had the lsd as an option.

$50 dollar for the centre allowed me to go to footscray and get a meal afterwards.

Also looking for an early ca20 block from 1984 or pre catalyc converter or does anyone
know if all carbed CAs had no cat?

CA for its Nissanerdness :nerd:
