Well a stand alone is probably easier and the best way in my experience in the long run.

i totaly agree

-the whole harness is much simpler
-NO MORE MAF
-I can add whatever (boost control, shiftlight etc)
-I can run a Map for german fuel (jap juice have much more octane-->expensive sh** here)
and and and

i was always a fan from Megasquirt (LOL) and now i bought one and i will see if it fit me

if not i convert to a Honda ECU^^ that stuff i know very well

was more a joke, but its possibel

many 4age owners convert theyre cars to a honda P28 or p30 Ecu, since you get with a chip kit, an emulator and chrome already a full standalone for a couple of bucks

a d17 ecu with the gay hondata motherboard would do the trick on a RB too

-which signal use the s12 tach?
and

why is my ECU plug (RB20) complete diffrent from the manual pinout?

Its not that, its just that I don't think there's any 'current' Aus members that have an RB20 swapped s12, so no one has that info. Colin in the US is maybe the only one current that can help. iacv maybe = acv ? as in same thing ?
If it was me íf you haven't already I'd try googling RB20 and megasquirt to see if you could get lucky.

This guy advertises those in NZ and says he does a fitting service for locals. He would have done an RB20. Try to join that site and contact him, (worst comes to worst you could post your loom to him:

thx for the link

but i dont think its such trouble when i found out in which wire i must tap in:closedeyes:

still waiting for the edis and than it should be more easy

and btw
my rb harness is already a cut down mess, cause i need the plugs but stupid as iam i forget to write down which plug goes where:suicide_anim:

also the color meaning is still unknown, for example
my tps have only 2 wires which one is 5v ref and which one is signal?

just sold my Rb Gaz, but i never altered the cas wiring when I did my loom, i just used a complete standard rb20 engine loom and computer, and just spliced off the computer for power, earth, ignition, fuel pump relay etc... so not quite sure what you need, unless your basically making a loom from scratch?

She's in there and things are working! Very nice. I would keep an eye on the cooling and the engine's temp. when you get her finished. If possible, remove the intake plenum (top half of the intake manifold) while you work if that makes it easier. Just be sure to cover the intake holes and put new gasket stuff when re-installing the plenum. But for sure, the wiring will look like a mess. I have a picture of my wiring while the RB26 was going in and it was nuts.

Posted Image

Btw, I am really liking how well that intake fits. It's as good as ARC induction box. As Borat would say, "Very nice!"

wasted spark FTW

seeing your wiring mess reminds me on my harness bevor i start to cut^_^
from the old harness is maybe 20% left! CAS and Maf stuff makes the biggest point:D

yes cooling is still a problem but it will do the job until my budget rise again and i can afford a custom one
a good e-fan and sidepanels will help alot and dont forget its a dual core->twice as thick than a SR20 RAD:o

my intercooler? yes that was the suprise of the year ..... a part which fit whithout giant mods on the body
