You didnt search good enough, topic has been covered plenty of times!

"NO" its way way different & will not plug into ca18det or ca18de ecu, you need to use a ca18det loom on a ca18det!

settle down.

i know the computers arnt the same but could i just change the plugs over that are up the top next to the maf sensor and then the rest of the loom (the tranny, starter, alt, oil sender, coil wiring) just leave there to plug upto the ca18det?

Loom is missing afm, cas, acc, Knock sensor + more & then some!

To much work when you can just use a ca18det loom.

Why would you want to use the ca20 loom?

The short answer is no. They're about as different as you could get with the CA20 having twin coil/dizzy & the CA18DE(T) having coilpacks/ignitors/etc.

the only thing the same is the fact that they are copper wrapped in plastic :o

to answer your next question:

you need to use the S13 loom, the engine one at least, and wire in 3 relays, fuel, ecu and something else... once u have these three relays done the ecu/engine is done.

you then have a few options on the alt/starter side... u CAN just chop the plugs off the ca20 loom and slap the ca18det plugs on it, provided you use the right wires everywhere its not rocket science, just do one plug at a time and have pinouts handy... CA20 and CA18 starters are identical... alteneators are different so be carefull with the wiring. use the ca20 oil pressure sender and the gauge will work spot on, in fact the water temp sensors on teh 18det are also spot on.

apart from that all of this i have learnt from this site and others so have a bit of a read around. the search function sucks, so just reead and reeead and reeeeeeead
