Project Gazelle @ Adelaide Autosalon

Wil’s Gazelle made an appearance at Adelaide Autosalon over the weekend, lined up with a series of Silvia’s in order from S12 to S15. As the end of the show came around, the announcer showed up on stage to present the peoples choice awards, voted by the events spectators. Wil’s S12 was voted Best Old School of the show, some great recognition for all the effort that has been put into this car, congratulations Wil!

Warehouse Shoot

Shortly after Wil’s Gazelle left M&C Doyle’s paint shop we drove it into a nearby warehouse for a photo shoot. A rig was fitted to the car for some rolling shots, and an elaborate flash setup was in place for some static shots. We sank some beers and messed around and admired the fresh paint on the car. This is one of the photo’s that resulted from the night, click for a higher resolution picture.

Rainy Day

This afternoon Wil and I ventured out with the S12 to get some photos taken for the website. Not the best day for it with the overcast weather and light rain, but we managed to find a spot to chill out and play with some angles. When the sun broke through the clouds the cars paint showed off its full range of colours, quite an impressive feature of Wil’s custom Gazelle.

Introducing Project Gazelle

Currently coming together in a small shed in Adelaide is Wil’s project Gazelle. With a custom paint job that has to be seen to be believed, and fitted with a custom BN Sports body kit, this Gazelle looks amazing. An SR20DET with lots of bolt on goodies powers this beast, with it’s power being delivered to some nice Work XD9 wheels. A lot of time and money has been poured into this car, the attention to detail is superb, and Wil’s unique vision for this Gazelle is something I can’t wait to see completed. More details will emerge as this project progresses, so stay tuned!
