So it looks like Ill be getting an engine for the s12 off of my house mate... So the haltech will be put aside for that aswell, I think Brad will be happy with the engine ;) It will be coping some goodies and some fresh internals before running in the gaz eventually but all that is a while off yet, its a start atleast though right :)

#82750 Swampdonkyy's Turbo Notch

Posted by swampdonkyy on 25 January 2013 - 12:42 PM

Rolled & rolled the guards & unfortunately I had a split in the middle of one rear guard (previous owner :thumbsdown_anim: ) that started to tear :suicide_anim: & the other guard had sustained some damage previously & a lot of paint came off & probably due to my brand new heat gun shitting itself & me having little patience & just going on without it, But sh** happens, nothing a little bit of welding bogging & a rattle can wont fix. The wheels now fit but because of my bigger rear brakes the bolts that hold the wheels together need to go on a diet before they will spin. I dont think I will ever be able to get my index finger between the guard & the tire due to being a man of all thumbs :D

Pics will come later once I have received my new drive shafts & I get it off the stands

Went to Showcased...

And this month marks the 25th birthday of the RS-X. Sometime during this month 25 years ago the car was built.

I think beer is in order.

Congratulations on the marriage mate!

Good to see some progress on the car also. Door trims look good, I need to get the same thing done on mine.

I love the dash mat, nice find.

Keep the updates coming mate!

#83336 1988 JDM CA18ET turbo RX

Posted by presil on 19 May 2013 - 11:37 PM

ok, so im back from being on hiatus, i just got married so i have had a break, lets get to updates

Replaced the REAR SUBFRAME Bushes, got my interior door card trims retrimmed too.

BEFORE:

B5B690A3-6F23-400D-9CC8-EA3D6A89F3B6-155

AFTER: (colour match isnt perfect, but still better than before)

04126329-52A3-44C7-9AE4-58E1D78042B7-155

i got a hold of these:

7A831C64-6A66-40D5-A201-9CA5359DE2C7-155

3B3B6463-8AB6-4971-8F5F-503A93154AF0-155

they just need fitting.

also brought these:

64301043-AA8B-4625-80F3-25E7D7FA8C6E-155

managed to get my hands on this! which for some might not be a big deal. but for me i was pretty excited :)

31B81119-5526-44BD-84C6-2B47D97E12AD-155

655FEEC7-D4C8-485F-89AE-F613C8129998-155

im about to start the s13 front conversion with the BC coilovers, i chose a 6kg front and a 4kg rear as i really dont want to ruin this cars drivability. if anyone has any opinions about them i'd like to hear them. i think 8/6 are too harsh. and i would only think of tracking the car once or twice a year.

Today i thought i'd best restore the rear tail lights of the mk 2, which i polish tool, some cutting compound and plastix. we got this :

A28E5C93-5634-4C85-B823-3C551B059818-155

had only gotten the right side done in this photo, will post more detailed photos later

end update for now :)

#83291 8sixS12's build thread: Project High Response

Thanks castle!  That means a lot coming from you. I have a lot of respect for what you're doing to your full white.

The SR just kind of chose me in a way. After I got it though it just seemed like the obvious choice since I was in need of a lot of aftermarket support in order for to achieve my goals with the car.

^^^ totally agree, why so expensive?

Stock wheels, stock suspension, stock stock you'd be very lucky to get $1200 for it!

#83128 WANTED: S12, PREFER VIC BUT AUS WIDE

Posted by gadget1382 on 09 April 2013 - 09:31 PM

Would my car fit the bill?

Non-IRS coupe. But has a CA18det... So all dependant on budget and what you ultimately want from the car.

#83103 WANTED: S12, PREFER VIC BUT AUS WIDE

Posted by camel on 04 April 2013 - 09:23 AM

Hi Guys,

I am looking at buying an S12

I am located in Melbourne and so would prefer it to be in Victoria but am willing to look anywhere so don't be afraid to speak up.

I would much prefer an IRS hatchback but again, it depends what is out there at the moment.

I am not in a huge rush but am starting to look now.

I would prefer something complete (ie not a stripped out track car) but again, if you are looking to sell get in contact and we can discuss further.

I am available on here or by mobile 0499 008 113

Thanks guys

Sam

#83075 Where do I get new tail lights for my S12?

Posted by castle on 27 March 2013 - 05:56 PM

Where are you located?

What model tail lights are you after?

Could you buy second hand and get the seller to print out an invoice looking slip to attach to the package with Nissan on it, making it seem new? I'm interested at how your country forbids used parts coming in and how they regulate it.

If you let me know what tails you are after I should be able to look it up in FAST and shoot you some part numbers.
