This car is steeped with history in Australia, being one of the most recognised S12’s in the country it did a huge part in showing what the S12 is capable of. Henry’s Heartbreaker S12 is rocking mismatched wheels once again, this time Hayashi Street’s up front in 15×8″ zero offset, and on the skidding end are a pair of 15×9″ -17 SSR MK3. A bit of dirt and dust from a recent drift day adds to the charm.
Testament to the S12 not needing any form of visual modification is Keith’s S12 200sx. Keith has kept the exterior as Nissan had planned, which screams 1980’s sports car. Underneath the body however lies an extensively modified S12, the glimpse of a front mount intercooler through the front bar being the only hint of this cars inner beast. We sat down recently with Keith to learn more about his car, and how he has owned it for more than 20 years!
Recently I learned of the name ‘Endangered Species’ used in reference to the Full White RS-X, a name created by S12 enthusiasts in Japan. I was also sent this picture of a Full White RS-X residing in Japan, this ‘endangered’ S12 has had the original bonnet swapped over for the MKI two-piece bonnet, usually used to cover an FJ20.
Wil’s Gazelle made an appearance at Adelaide Autosalon over the weekend, lined up with a series of Silvia’s in order from S12 to S15. As the end of the show came around, the announcer showed up on stage to present the peoples choice awards, voted by the events spectators. Wil’s S12 was voted Best Old School of the show, some great recognition for all the effort that has been put into this car, congratulations Wil!
We love the style and attitude John has to owning and modifying his US spec MKII S12. It has the looks, a nice clean appearance, low down stance and power to match. Being a mountain biker myself, I love how John has managed to utilise his S12 to carry his bike around to the local trails, not something you see often at all. S12Silvia.com spent some time with John to get some more of an insight into his S12, and what it’s like to own and modify. Read John’s feature here…
The S12 may not be the most popular Silvia chassis, nor is it the most recognizable Nissan ever made. However, S12 owners are passionate, friendly and dedicated to personalizing them to their individual tastes. We are running a competition to hear some of the experiences of our members, and what it means to them to own an S12 Silvia.
Here’s how you can enter;
Submit a minimum of 4 artistic photo’s of your S12 along with a maximum of 300 words focusing on the subject ‘What my S12 means to me’. Be creative, tell a story, or write of experiences or reactions you have gotten from your S12. Entries will be judged on the photographs and text as a whole, and will be judged by the S12Silvia.com team.
Prizes will be awarded for the top 3 entries, and the winners will also be featured on the S12Silvia.com blog. The prizes are as follows;
1st prize: S12Silvia.com reproduction Silvia bonnet badge, and an S12Silvia.com blog feature.
2nd prize: S12Silvia.com lanyard & sticker pack + S12Silvia.com blog feature.
3rd prize: S12Silvia.com lanyard + S12Silvia.com blog feature.
Entries will close on the 1st of September 2010, and winners decided shortly after.

This year Hella Flush teamed up with Formula D to showcase the regions top cars. Named the ‘One of One’ show, Hella Flush aimed at showcasing cars from the Pacific Northwest: Imports to Euros, VIPs to drifters, and bikes to vans.
